Naveria Heights Lodge

Three nights was way too short. Our hosts, Sunil and his lovely wife, were sensational and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. They set up some awesome island tours, including waterfalls and hot mud pools. The highlight was visiting the snake temple near lambasa. Savusavu town is a short walk away, though you do have to get back up the hill. The views are breathtaking, so it’s well worth it. This place is amazing, and we’ll definitely come back someday.

The guided mountain bike tour was a highlight of our stay, especially learning about native plants and visiting a local waterfall. Sharon was a terrific host, sharing local knowledge and helping us out after our big bike ride. The plunge pool and food were close runners-up. We enjoyed Naviera Heights Lodge. It was clean and comfortable, with breathtaking views of Savusavu. The access road is steep, but manageable because Sharon provided lifts when we arranged them. We highly recommend the lodge for its scenery and outdoor adventures.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Captain’s Table, a nearby restaurant with excellent food at very reasonable prices. It was a great way to enjoy local cuisine after a day out exploring. Naviera Heights Lodge was clean, comfortable, and well appointed, with breathtaking views across the marina in Savusavu. Sharon was a fantastic host, warm, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout. One of our favorite experiences was the mountain bike tour she guided, with stops to learn about native plants and visit a beautiful local waterfall. The lodge sits up a hill, and the access road is quite steep. Sharon was happy to drive us up if we arranged it in advance, which made it manageable. We highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Savusavu for scenic views and outdoor adventures.

The plunge pool at sunset was a highlight. The views, peace, and feeling of being surrounded by nature made this an amazing setting. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit and homemade bread, and we felt well looked after by the staff. There were fun and exciting activities, and we’ll be back. Naveria is a true Jem of an eco-lodge, not a city hotel, so it may not suit everyone looking for polished resort convenience. Sunil was upfront and fair about the transport logistics, and went out of his way to help us get around. My wife preferred driving down and walking back up, especially after cheesecake at the copra shed. We appreciated that Sunil arranged our waterfall tour.
