The waterfall hike was a real highlight, and I’d highly recommend it. We also tried hand tie fishing from our floating bure, spearfishing, and the kava ceremony and Fijian dance. We weren’t very good at spearfishing, but it was still a fun chance to snorkel and spearfish for one price. The resort has loads of activities, some free and some at extra cost, and we enjoyed everything we tried. We came for our honeymoon and the floating bure made it such a special stay. The staff were thoughtful and worked so hard to make it memorable, and every meal was delicious. Our booking included a complimentary 60 min massage per person because we booked during a special. Having it in the rainforest was so peaceful and relaxing. Three days went by quickly, and we could easily have stayed another 1-2 days. We’ll recommend the resort to friends and family interested in visiting Fiji. Filipe, Sera, Lody, Andrew with activities, Monu, Andrew with diving, and Selene all helped make the trip great. We can’t thank you enough!

The vegetarian meals were so original and delicious that I’m sad I may never taste anything like them again. Chef Mo must be one of the Pacific’s best kept secrets. The food alone is worth a trip to Koro Sun. I mostly wanted to sit by the beautiful Fijian lagoon, read, and relax, and the staff were happy to let me do that. Sake, Vas, and the rest of the team were always there if I had questions or wanted help arranging something around the island or resort. I was staying on my own, so I especially appreciated friendly chats over a coconut with Sara and Anna at the Sand Bar and Melika at the Palm Grove. They were always happy to serve food at a moment’s notice. Andrew took me kayaking and showed me the best time to go out on the water. Staying in a floating bure made it easy to take a quick swim or row, too. Koro Sun is a special place. Stay at least a week if you can, so there’s time to relax and enjoy the water.

The setting at The Sandbar is lovely, with peaceful views and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger. The food was scrumptious, and the smoothies were just as good. We also had a wonderful visit to the Palm Grove. We weren’t guests at Koro Sun Resort, but heard about The Sandbar and asked if we could come for lunch. After that first visit, we were hooked and returned several times. It became the highlight of our dining in Savusavu. Philippe introduced himself, invited us to the fire dance that evening, and remembered our names each time we came back. That kind of hospitality really stood out. If you’re in Savusavu, ask if you can visit even if you’re not staying at the resort. It’s absolutely worth it. We were so impressed that we plan to stay there next time we’re in Fiji.

We really appreciated the resort’s support for the local villages. The local village church choir gave us a recital, and it was MAGNIFICENT. The resort staff also sang on several occasions, harmonizing beautifully. Special thanks to Wayne, Filipe, and Mel, and to the ladies who gave us massages. We’ve had plenty of massages in our travels, but the ones at Koro Sun were the best ever. VINAKA. We stayed at Koro Sun for nine days and have no complaints. The team members we met were all warm and friendly, the bure was clean and well appointed, and there was good food and entertainment.

The spa by the river was one of the most relaxing experiences we’ve had. It felt romantic and serene, and the waterfall running through the property added to the peaceful, almost magical feel of the place. Our oceanfront bure was perfect for a couple’s getaway, with a freestanding tub, private plunge pool, and direct access to the ocean from the patio. The views in the morning and the sounds of nature at night made the three-night stay unforgettable. The resort is lush, tropical, and beautifully designed, and the staff were genuinely friendly from the moment we arrived. We loved our time at Koro Sun Resort and can’t wait to come back. It’s a tranquil, romantic escape surrounded by nature, with wonderful service.
