Sigasiga Sands Boutique Bungalows

The beach was a highlight, with pristine white sand and plenty of relaxation. Our two-night stay in the spacious Coco Villa exceeded expectations, and we’d definitely return. The villa was spotlessly clean, with comfortable rooms, plush beds, reliable WiFi, a TV, cooking equipment, and stunning sea views. There was also plenty of parking. A solid 10/10, a must-recommend for anyone after paradise.

We’ve just returned for our second visit to Sigasiga Sands, and somehow it was even better than our first trip nine years ago. The new bungalows are gorgeous, the welcome was even friendlier, and the tranquility was incredible, probably helped by our sons no longer being teenagers. Sunita and Subash, the property managers, offer superb hospitality and service. For us, this is a little slice of Fiji heaven, with an almost empty beach and beautiful coral reefs about a 15-20 minute walk away. Getting into the snorkeling lagoon in front of the property can be tricky, but walk around the headland to the Wavi Island cove and there’s a cut in the reef for easy access to some of the best reef you’ll see. If you want the manicured pseudo-Fiji feel of high-priced resorts, this may not be your place. If you prefer somewhere authentic, friendly, and relaxed, you’ll love it.

Subash was friendly and helpful, and easy to reach on WhatsApp. We stayed several days in the Coco Bure, which was clean and well stocked. The kitchen had most of the tools and utensils we needed, and the appliances worked, but there were no seasonings or spices, so bring your own. Room service was prompt and relatively cheap. I didn’t think the food was very good, so we went out and made our own breakfasts and lunches in the kitchen. For getting around town, we used Bablu's taxi service. He was easy to contact on WhatsApp, punctual, friendly, and charged fair fares. I’d recommend his service.

Sigasiga is beautiful, and the snorkeling right off the beach was great. Subash, Sunritaand Filo took really good care of us, including accommodating our early arrival and late checkout without any fuss. The food was delicious, and Bablu was a welcome taxi recommendation. We had a great time and will definitely return!
