Elixir Hotel and Serviced Apartments

For 100 FJD a night, it’s hard to find a decent place in Suva for less. It’s a bit worn and nothing fancy, but very clean, with no bed bugs or cockroaches. There’s hot water, good shower pressure, cold air conditioning, a fridge, and free parking.

The service was pathetic. There were six of us but only one towel, and I’d been waiting 1.5 hours for more with no update. The receptionist said all the towels were dirty because nobody had washed them that day. There was no soap in the bathroom either, so I had to go out and buy some myself. Please avoid this apartment. It’s only good for couples staying a short time.

The staff were friendly, but the rooms weren’t up to standard and need a lot of cleaning, especially the walls. There was no hot water from the taps or shower. The kitchen looked so dirty that I couldn’t use it, and there were hardly any pots or utensils available.

There were cockroaches everywhere, and the doors wouldn’t lock, which left us worried someone could open the door while we were out. The back sliding door was broken, and there were holes and exposed electrical wires all over the place. I was uncomfortable with the risk of my kids getting shocked. Customer service wasn’t helpful. The bathroom looked like the worst public restroom, and the shower floor was unsanitary.
