Sunseekers Outrigger Hotel

The room was clean and comfortable, with a decent hot shower, tea and coffee, a fridge, and a few dishes. It worked well for a tight budget, and the woman who checked me in was lovely. The bar next door was the downside, the bass came through the room and it was pretty loud.

The bed and air conditioning were good, and I had a microwave, kettle, and fridge. Staff were really friendly, but I only gave it three stars because the listing promised a bathtub and there wasn’t one. I’d booked mainly for the tub, so that was disappointing for the price, even if it wasn’t a huge deal. WiFi didn’t reach the rooms, which meant sitting at reception to use it. There were also little cockroaches hanging out on the wall and showerhead.

We had a good stay in a family-sized unit with two rooms and three bedrooms. It had a table and chairs, plus a kitchen stocked with plates, bowls, spoons, cups, glasses, and a tea set. The microwave, freezer, and kettle all worked. The air conditioning and TV worked too, there were blankets, and the showers had hot and cold water. The upstairs restaurant served tasty food in generous portions. Loved it ❤

I left after dinner because I no longer trusted the staff. My room had been locked while I was out, but someone had gone through my bags: the zippers and the way I’d arranged them were different, and some cash was missing. The on-site manager offered compensation if I didn’t review the hotel and pleaded with me not to leave. I filed a police report, but they wouldn’t refund my room or let me speak with anyone senior. They said it was the weekend and refused to contact a higher-up. I’ve called several times since and still haven’t reached anyone who should know about it. The rooms were dirty, the showers moldy, and the beds uncomfortable. Do not stay here.
