Coconut Beach Resort

The diving was a first for us, and we loved it. The staff were patient and helpful, the whole thing ran smoothly, and the underwater sights were amazing. Snorkelling was the best I've experienced, even compared with trips to Cuba, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, and other Caribbean spots. We also had a brilliant cave trip, a really unique experience. If there's an activity you especially want to do, tell the resort well ahead and they'll try to arrange it. We spent the first few days of our honeymoon at Coconut Beach, and the food and warm hospitality made it unforgettable. Every meal was different and cooked perfectly. Breakfast rotated, and my wife and I always left full. As a foodie who's stayed at several Caribbean resorts, this was the best food I've had. If you have dietary restrictions, the staff sound very accommodating, though they can only address a problem if you let them know. We can't wait to come back. Vanaka!

What made Coconut Beach Resort special for us was the team. The dive crew were kind and patient, Api has the most beautiful soul, and the activities guys were always up for fishing, snorkelling, or a trek up the mountain. Thanks to Sheung and everyone for such a lovely stay. Our beachfront bure was really comfortable. The fans and air con kept it cool at night, while open louvres and insect netting let in the sea breeze during the day. The outdoor bathroom was lovely, too. With only 11 bures, the place feels peaceful and private, but there’s still plenty to fill your days with, or you can do very little. It has that barefoot luxury feel. The beach and clear water are gorgeous, with white sand and a world class reef right out front. Guests we met had returned to CBR twelve times, and I can see why. Such a peaceful start to our honeymoon in Fiji.

Diving with Lou was so relaxed, and I loved it enough to go back for more than the one day I’d planned. The sites are close, so you’re back for lunch without an early start. I was lucky to have the trips to myself, and since diving is only for in-house guests, I think groups will usually be tiny. Kezia was friendly and answered all my questions. I also enjoyed kayaking to the Blue Lagoon and taking the cave trip, though there are plenty of activities to choose from if you want them. Or you can just read or snooze on a lounger. As a solo woman traveller, I only review places where I feel comfortable, safe, at ease, and not judged. This place did that for me, and I’d recommend it to other women travelling alone. Sheung was helpful and organized everything, from ferry transfers and taxis to quick email replies and clear explanations. The service felt welcoming and kind all week. The resort has just 11 bures, so it’s wonderfully chilled out. My room was clean and comfortable, and I loved the open air shower surrounded by plants. The beach is gorgeous, with a great sunrise view and spectacular sunsets just around the corner. I spent a week here and it was worth the boat ride. The perfect end to three great weeks in Fiji. I’d happily visit again.

We signed up for the meal plan before arriving, and the staff were happy to work around my dietary requirements. The food was incredible and there was loads of it. Daily activities were all brilliant, and the staff were enthusiastic and helpful. They sang or played music every day, which was great. The whole place is beautiful and right on the beach. Our bure was a perfect size, with a lovely outdoor shower and our own hammock. The staff made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. Best holiday we’ve ever had, and we’d love to return.
