The meal plan is the downside. You have to pay for it, it’s expensive, and vegan or vegetarian meals didn’t seem very accommodating, so you may end up hungry. Apart from the food, we loved our stay. It’s beautiful and quiet, with a walk to a lovely sunset lookout, and at low tide you can walk all the way to the other resort. This feels more like a backpackers’ place than a resort, but the rooms are great value, simple, clean, and cute. There are only fans and the showers are cold, which felt nice in the heat. The reef right out front is amazing. Toki took us on the best reef hop and made our stay. There are snorkels and kayaks at the hotel. For getting there, I recommend the Yasawa Flyer. It’s comfortable, and you can island hop on the way in or out.

Nancy, the manager, really stood out. She knows so much and genuinely cares about guests’ wellbeing in Fiji, and she tried to help us with anything we needed. Even before arrival, the online communication made the holiday feel like home, and the friendly feeling continued through our time on Tavewa and departure. We loved resting and playing at Coralview, even though it took quite a while to get there. It’s also a great base for snorkelling near the Sawa-i-Lau cave. Eva and Pau served delicious, different food every day. Ako and Una looked after the amenities and always appeared like sunshine. Having resident guardians Lady and Skippa around was a bonus, though Skippa always seemed ready for snacks. Every staff member was lovely to interact with. We’d love to come back. The staff were so friendly and always smiling, and they really made an effort to make us feel at home. I loved the tasty food, too. We had fun on the cave tour and coral hopping with fish feeding, and it was easy to use the snorkels and kayaks they have at the hotel. Coralview’s location is amazing, with beautiful coral right in front. I honestly had the best time and recommend staying here.

More than six months later, I’m still thinking about Coralview. The best parts were the location and the home cooked meals, which catered to my vegan diet. The staff were lovely and accommodating, and snorkelling, sea kayaking, and other activities were free or inexpensive. The highlight was a day trip and picnic on the “Blue Lagoon” island. Don’t miss what felt like a trip of a lifetime! 🤿

Sawa-i-Lau Cave was a real highlight, and our guide Toki was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel at ease throughout the trip. Everyone at Coral View Island Resort was welcoming, attentive, and ready to help, which gave the place a warm atmosphere. The surroundings are beautiful and quiet, just right for relaxing and enjoying nature. We had a wonderful, peaceful stay in Fiji and would recommend it to anyone looking for a restful getaway. We’re grateful for the experience.
