Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay

The people made this trip feel like coming home. From the airport onward, everyone was warm and professional, and the resort staff were ready to help with whatever we needed. Elizabeth, Epa, Semi, Joe, Jack, Rebecca, Mila, Moses, Loata and Rusila made us feel especially welcome, almost like family. It was my birthday celebration and my first trip out of my country, and they made it unforgettable. I’ll be back next year with all my children and grandchildren. See you then! The lagoon, mountains, pools, watersports and rooms were beautiful, peaceful and so much fun. The food was incredible too, from the Fish Bar and the Gogi House to the Voi Voi Lounge.

We had a great stay at the Marriott at Momi Bay. The overwater bungalow was amazing, with no issues at all. Most of the staff were lovely, and Mosese gave us top tier service every day. Everyone deserves a mention, though I don’t know all their names. My husband has platinum elite status, which includes late checkout when available. Our room was booked that day, so I understand why they couldn’t offer it. Since our flight wasn’t until evening, we checked out early and spent most of the day at the hotel. We’d paid for all inclusive, but after checkout we had to pay for our remaining meals. They never offered to cover them while we waited for the airport, which would have been a nice gesture given the lack of late checkout. Once we checked out, we were basically pay as you go. That felt kind of cheap from The Marriott, especially since we’d booked a premium room and had platinum status.

Our honeymoon at the Marriott Momi Bay in Fiji was the most relaxing, amazing holiday we’ve had. We spent most of our time eating and drinking by the pool or lagoon, and both the food and facilities were incredible. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to look after us. We’ll definitely be back!

The all inclusive setup was a real hassle. You have to keep paper wristbands for drinks and paper cards for food, which defeats the point for me since I paid so I wouldn’t need to carry cards and cash. I still ended up carrying a bag for all the paper items. At each bar or restaurant, you check in with your room number and have to mention that you’re all inclusive when ordering. For food, they also need to see your band and sign off on your card. Then you still get a bill, just with the totals crossed out. At checkout, you have to go through the bill because they can still charge for things that should have been included. Very clunky. The resort itself is absolutely gorgeous, with the best bure rooms, beautiful beaches and amazing food. That process is the only negative I can give it.
