The clean room had a beautiful view, and dinner at the second-floor restaurant was very good. The view made that meal even nicer. Still, the extra charges and hassles brought the stay down to three stars for me. Hotel guests are charged around $80 for just two hours at the spa, with swimsuits and slippers mandatory. The pool is outside, so you have to walk out to get there. Our room was a long way from the lobby, making even an ice run a trek. The fridge didn't work, which was a real inconvenience if you want to keep food or drinks for an early morning excursion. The hotel also adds resort or tourist fees.

The hotel sits in an interesting spot on a hill overlooking Torshavn, with a path down to town that takes about 20 minutes. It has good facilities, and lots of famous people have stayed here.

The room was beautifully maintained, and the housekeeping team and management deserve more than five stars for their outstanding service. I wish the housekeeping staff all the best. Their work is so good, and I recommend everyone stay at hotel foroyar.

I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms were clean and breakfast was good. It's two kilometres from the centre, but the hotel sits on top of a beautiful hill with a nice view of the town.

The hotel itself was okay, and breakfast was decent and average, nothing special. The “1933 cafe” was so disappointing. Service moved at a snail's pace: it took 30 minutes just to take our order, then another 75 to bring the beer. The food was worse for the wait, our burger came after an hour and a half.
