It's peaceful here, with nature all around, and the people are lovely and friendly. The location is fabulous. Campers have toilets, a shower, water and waste disposal, and everything was clean, though there's just one shower for the whole site. Check in at the restaurant opposite, where the waffles are amazing. You can book through booking.com or directly.

Jackie, the chef de camping, is really friendly, and you can help yourself to the different herbs he grows for cooking at your pitch. It's a small, excellent campsite in a pretty spot by the plan d'eau, with good hill views. The town's bakeries, restaurants and bars are close by. Facilities are good, but bring your own toilet paper. There's also a little steam train behind the site that's well worth seeing. Recommended.

It was closed when I was there, though I was told it opens in April. The area around it looked interesting, with what seems to be a free public swimming spot and mini beach next door.

The camping is very quiet and the pitches are level. The shower was clean, and the lake and restaurant are very close. Prices are reasonable.
