The food and service were exceptional, and the area is beautiful. One thing to know about the room: it was above traffic lights and quite noisy, and we hadn’t been told the bedroom windows had automatic shutters. If you use the shutters, you’d need to turn on the air conditioning, which may not suit everyone. Go for the amazing food and lovely surroundings.

Dinner was a fantastic experience, with carefully prepared food and lovely attention to detail. The price felt affordable for the quality, and the service was extraordinary.

We had a delicious lunch on the restaurant’s lovely terrace, with excellent service and staff who clearly know the quality food they serve. My friend and I didn’t stay at the hotel. It’s a shame there’s no river view, though the Eure is just a pleasant 10-minute walk away, which makes a nice stroll after a very good meal. I highly recommend the restaurant.

We showed up without a booking, and even though my French is pretty poor, everyone was helpful. The secure, private car park was great, and the room felt modern while still keeping its character. The pool was exceptionally clean, a perfect temperature, and open late. Breakfast was lovely too, with equally good service and presentation. Acquigny is a quiet village with a few shops and restaurants. I really can’t fault the place, and I can’t imagine finding better value anywhere else. I’d highly recommend it.
