On the day I arrived, the hotel was closed. I tried calling the staff several times, but couldn’t reach anyone.

François is the real reason this place deserves six stars. He’s wonderful and attentive, and we return every year. The house itself is superb, with lovely bedrooms, spacious shared areas, and a view that’s so relaxing.

We celebrated our wedding here in Guéthary with our witnesses, and the house made the whole stay feel just right. It’s warm and elegant, decorated in an art deco style, with plenty of space and everything well equipped. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and toilet, which worked especially well for our group. The view is superb, and the owner is friendly, accommodating, and clearly passionate about the house. A lovely choice for time with family or friends in the Basque Country.
