Palm Beach

The location is very nice, right by the sea. The more expensive rooms are okay, but the others are odd. Who puts a shower in the middle of a room? The service was baffling. No English, and the staff came across as ignorant and arrogant. At breakfast, they didn’t come ask if you wanted coffee; you had to ask at reception. Four-star hotel? Definitely not.

They turned us away, saying the sunbeds were taken, even though we could see plenty of them sitting empty. We set up an umbrella right next to the beds and watched them remain unused for hours, well into the afternoon. Half the place looked empty, yet they were refusing customers. The hospitality was horrible.

The best thing here is being right on the beach. We loved falling asleep with the window open to the sound of the waves. The rooms seem newly renovated, though, as others have said, the shower setup hasn’t really been thought through. The room was rather noisy, and the price didn’t feel in balance with what we got. The staff didn’t seem well trained. For a place by the beach, there were no beachfront showers or way to clean sand off your feet before bringing it back to the room. That seems to sum up the place.

The rooms have amazing views, and the location is a big part of what makes this resort appealing. The beach isn’t touristy, but it’s a great place to spend the day, with water activities too. It’s ideal if you’re looking for a relaxed day by the water.
