The quiet here really felt like a little haven. I spent seven lovely days at Bonnie Maison, Alaigne, with Shirley and Martin, and the gite was clean, peaceful and stocked with lots of kitchen utensils. Having a dishwasher was a nice extra. We had glorious sunny weather, and the swimming pool made the stay feel even more luxurious. This place will stay close to my heart. À Bientôt!

We found plenty to do around Carcassonne and Mirepoix, and the wine tasting at domaine Girard was fantastic. The village has a great boulangerie and friendly residents too. Our holiday at the gite was restful, and the helpful hosts had thought things through well when equipping it. We’ll definitely come back next year. 🥂🤩

There are vineyards all around, with lovely walks and cycle tracks nearby. The garden catches the sun, and you're not far from either the Alps or the beach.

We were very disappointed, especially since my husband chose the cottage for its proximity to Carcassonne. It was just 14 degrees Celsius inside, with no heating despite the cold weather, and the stairs felt dangerous. The welcome was very unpleasant. The owner speaks English but made no effort to understand French.
