The traditional decor and the warm local accent give this charming hotel a real Corsican feel. It sits in the village center, slightly uphill, with a superb view over the Bay of Ajaccio. The set menu was delicious. There’s a fireplace in the restaurant that makes you want to light a fire, though the weather didn’t let us enjoy it properly. If you want a friendly, welcoming place with an authentic Corsican atmosphere, this hotel fits the bill.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Alata, spending two nights above the bay of Ajaccio and the port. The room was spacious, quiet, spotlessly clean, and very well equipped. The hotel has plenty of charm and elegance, with comfort clearly in mind, and the value for money is excellent. Many thanks to Jean and his wife, the owners. A truly lovely stay. Jean-Claude Druffin

The rooms are spacious, bright, and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was generous, with local products. The hotel is in a quiet spot in the hills above Ajaccio, with magnificent views across the whole gulf.
