The place looked a little far from town at first, but the short walk turned out to be easy and convenient. It's a wonderful little hostel in a great setting. We stayed in an ensuite twin room in a separate building across the courtyard. The room was clean and newly renovated, and breakfast had a good selection. Staff were friendly and patient with our mimes, even though not everyone spoke English. There was a fitness gym, which we didn't try. I'd definitely recommend the museum next door. It doesn't look like much from outside, but its exhibition on local history is interesting.

The staff were very nice and helpful, and the hotel is good and fairly cheap. It's right inside the medieval Cité des Conflans, overlooking Albertville. Our family room had two separate beds and two bunk beds. It was clean, though perhaps a bit small. There's no air conditioning or small fridge. In the hot summer, the only way to get fresh air was to open the windows, which also let in loud chatter and music from a nearby bar until 2 to 3 a.m. every night. Breakfast was quite basic, perhaps because of Corona.

It's a great village with a friendly host, and the accommodation was good for the price. We stayed here as a stop between destinations on the way to val Thorens.
