Le Bonheur Est Dans le Pré

The attic apartment is compact and sits on the second floor in central Honfleur, about a five-minute walk from the harbor. Linens were clean, the bathroom fixtures worked, and the kitchen was basic. Getting up there means taking a narrow staircase. The only windows are Velux roof windows, so there's no view, and there's no balcony or outdoor area either. There was just one key, which is awkward because the front door has to be locked when the downstairs studio owner is away. That could leave anyone staying behind locked inside, which is a troubling thought, for instance if there were a fire.
