We had a delightful lunch at the restaurant, which deserves its Michelin listing. The set menus are especially good value during truffle season. The dining room is elegant, and the professional, attentive staff served refined food that honours local ingredients and specialities while giving classic preparations the chef's own touch. One thing for diners to know: portions may be bigger than we're used to at a Michelin restaurant, especially dessert, where one serving should be enough for two. This review is about the restaurant, not the hotel.

We came for a Friday birthday lunch and will eat here again. The decor was lovely, the food was interesting, regional, and delicious, and the value was excellent. The young team was efficient, charming, and professional. They handled my patchy French when I booked, changed the booking, and ordered.

For us, Restaurant Alchimy was the most memorable place to eat in Albi. The dishes were delicious and beautifully refined in both flavour and presentation, and the wine list was very nice. Service was excellent too. Our waiter Laurence gave us some great menu suggestions. Highly recommended.

Laurent went above and beyond when the taxi the staff had called for us failed to show and we were at risk of missing our train. He drove us to the station himself in his own car. Truly commendable service from him and the rest of the exceptional team, including managers Joel & Sandra. We also dined in their beautiful restaurant. The Alchimy Hotel is stylishly designed and well situated in the town centre, with a very comfortable, stylish room and luxurious bathrooms. We'll definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic anniversary evening in beautiful Albi. The smart-looking building is a little off the main streets, with outdoor dining that was lovely in the warm weather. Most of the staff were really friendly, and the head waiter made us feel very welcome. He remembered our anniversary and brought out a table firework to celebrate. I didn't give five stars because our champagne arrived late and my wife's main course was wrong at first.
