The house is charming and well located, and staying there felt like stepping back in time. But it's an old place that needs work, especially the bathroom, where everything is crumbling. The house also smells of dog, and be careful around the dog: we were repeatedly told not to let it out, but the owner clearly doesn't care about the customer. The OWNER was cold, unpleasant, and unwelcoming, and yelled at us. Asking about Albi or the showings got us the response, “What do you want to talk about?” At breakfast, we only asked if we could have green tea. She told us it was the end of the season, that she was fed up, and that we were annoying. We tried to be considerate and asked just for hot water because we had our own tea bags, but she got angry, went back to the kitchen sighing and yelling in her native language. I'll never know what language, because there was no dialogue. How is a guest supposed to feel at ease? We ate a quick lunch in silence and left in a hurry. We'll never go back.

It's a unique, clean place, very well located for visiting Albi. The antique furniture, kitschy decor, and range of paintings make it feel like a trip back in time. The welcome is unusual too, a mix of reserve and good humor that turned out to be quite pleasant. A couple of small things could be improved: the mattress, which you sink into, and the bathroom paint.

The house is so charming and peaceful, with a beautiful pool and a lovely little garden. Its location is ideal for exploring the city center. Breakfast was generous, and there was free parking right in front. Thanks for the warm welcome and kindness.

The host's daughter gave us a warm welcome, and the owner communicated really well. Our room was large, clean, and pleasant, and the location was excellent: only a three-minute walk to the old town and its grand streets and monuments. Breakfast was generous, and it was very good value for money.
