Logis Hôtel - La Chambre d'Amiens

We’ve stayed here 12 times now while travelling south, and it’s always been spot on. The location is quiet and secure, just minutes from the peage, and the staff are friendly. There’s a small Super-U nearby with cheap fuel. The hotel is pet-friendly and has secure parking.

The desk staff member spoke excellent English and pointed us to convenient town-centre parking for dinner. We were on the return leg of our trip and only stayed overnight. The room was clean, everyone was friendly, and breakfast was very good. Thankfully, we weren’t charged 22 euros each, as the Holiday Inn at Le Touquet had wanted.

The balcony was a nice place to sit in the morning and again in the evening, and the electric shutter did a great job blocking the sun. The room was fairly priced, and the whole hotel felt modern, easily better than the 4* place we stayed at later in Calais. Staff were friendly and helpful. We stopped for one night to split up a road trip through France, but I’d happily stay longer next time. There are two EV chargers on site at a very reasonable price. Tracking the charge online was a little difficult, though that was an issue with the provider, not the hotel. It worked and cost little, which is what mattered. Highly recommended.

Breakfast costs extra, but the healthy selection was really good, and there was hardly any waste or single-use plastic, apart from the yoghurt pots. The hotel doesn’t serve dinner, so you’ll need to head into Amiens to eat. It’s a lovely little place for a stopover, with friendly, helpful staff. Our room had a nice balcony, and there was a lovely sun terrace too, though rain kept us from enjoying it. The nearby road didn’t make it noisy.
