Amiens after dark is an experience to behold, and the price and location here are both incredibly reasonable. You get a lot for your money. The staff are extremely attentive and seem to always have a smile on their faces. Special thanks to the reception guys on the afternoon and evening of 28/04 and the morning of 29/04. I don’t know their names, but thank you.

The hotel is on a quiet street just off the main one in the city centre, and I enjoyed my stay. Service was good and the room was clean. It’s a great place, especially if you travel with a dog, since pets are allowed. Two things struck me as odd: check-out is at 10am, two hours earlier than at most hotels, and they ask guests to take their own rubbish to the bins behind the hotel. It wasn’t a big deal, but at this price, I suppose it’s fair.

The bed was a good size and comfortable, and the apart hotel was clean. There was a kettle, but no tea or coffee sachets, so for two nights we had to buy a whole pack. Parking on the nearby streets was difficult, as it generally is in Amiens. It was about a 20-minute walk to the city center.

The reception girls are among my favourite receptionists anywhere. They’re courteous and friendly, and the hospitality was abundant. Thanks for all your help and for understanding a business traveller’s jetlag, moods and requirements.
