The camping was such a relaxed, friendly place, and the pizzas at the restaurant were great. We had a warm welcome from the very friendly, helpful staff, and the chalet was well equipped with comfortable beds. Those sun loungers were lovely, too. We spent 14 days there and it really felt like home, with time to unwind as well as get out and be active. It’s a great base for hikes, and the information about walks and other activities was excellent. We were sorry to miss the paella dinner, since a long-table meal sounded fun. In summer, Ancelle town seemed less appealing, as it appeared to focus mostly on winter tourism. The camping café could be cozier, and the morning bread delivery was mixed up sometimes. The sanitary block is dated, though we only used it once because our chalet had its own toilet.

We felt really welcome here, thanks to the friendly owner and staff, and even the few regular guests. That sunny location and the warm atmosphere would be the main reasons we’d come back. We stayed in a spacious mobile home in summer, with lovely scenery all around. The pool has a nice view, there’s a playground with an inflatable castle for a few hours, and bread service is available. The pizza was great. Nearby ski lifts were open, including Orcieres and Ancelle on Tuesday and Friday.

A fantastic spot for an authentic French experience, with a lovely area to enjoy in both summer and winter. Great facilities and friendly people. Simply the best camping!

Lovely village and great views, with friendly staff. The showers and toilets could use some updating, though.
