Hostellerie Bon Pasteur

We rented two twin rooms for four of us. They were basic, but comfortable, with cozy beds and bedding. The blinds made the rooms dark and helped keep them cool. The hotel was quiet day and night, and the car park had lots of space and was locked overnight, with a code for entry and exit. There are no extras like a coffee machine, but we slept well and felt safe. For an inexpensive hotel in Angers, it impressed us: very clean and modern in summer 2022, with lovely staff.

It’s peaceful and within walking distance of the city centre, with a lovely rose garden at the back and secure parking behind a gate that’s locked at night. Breakfast was generous and varied. The room was basic but very comfortable and clean, and the place was well organised and really friendly. An unusual place in a good way.

The room was simple, clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient and very quiet. You get what you’d expect for the price. The communal lights going off at 8.30 was really annoying, though. My husband was asleep, and I couldn’t sit and read because the lights shut off every 20 seconds!

We got the reasonably priced, central hotel we were after, and on-site parking was a bonus. Since we stayed on a Monday, it was handy that the Bon Pasteur’s restaurant was open that evening. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced.
