Breakfast was a mess: yesterday's tables were still dirty, the buffet space was piled with dusty dishes, so food ended up on chairs. The bread was dry, the croissants were rock hard, everyone had to share one brick of butter, and the coffee came in very dirty cups. The place was more or less clean, but that was the only decent thing about it. The beds were small, the neon lights were blinding, and the walls were so thin you could only hope the neighbors didn't snore. Worst of all was the attitude toward paying customers. There was no consideration at all.

My dog was welcome, and the rooms were comfortable and nice. I stopped by in the off-season and was glad to find somewhere open, especially with hosts who spoke English and were so welcoming. They had lots of good tips about things to explore, and the place is right in the center. Good job.

The food was actually excellent, the hotel's one redeeming quality. Everything else was pathetic. The experience was so harrowing that it took me months to get back on my feet. I've never seen a receptionist as unfriendly as a dog that had gone months without food.

The Chef and restaurant were great, and it's a good place, but the young woman at reception and serving in the restaurant was haughty, not kind or even smiling. Such a shame, honestly. I didn't try the hotel.
