We booked a 14-night apartment through Airbnb that was offered by this agency, and it was nothing like the description. The host had assured us the washing machine was in the bathroom, which was essential for us, but when we arrived it was in the toilet instead. The place was filthy and poorly maintained, with cheap furniture. Avoid HomeBuddy and Conciergerie du Lac, which have the same manager. There are reputable, professional concierge agencies in Annecy, so don’t let this experience put you off the others. Just look at the many negative reviews this one already has.

We had a very good stay in Annecy overall. I booked an apartment in the centre through Booking, with a manager responsible for its upkeep. As soon as we arrived, we noticed something was lacking, but the operator went out of her way to help us and find an arrangement. There are always little things to pick at if you look hard enough.

HomeBuddy adds lots of thoughtful touches that tenants like, and I appreciate them too. The service is efficient and professional, and the many positive customer reviews help bring more visibility to the apartment and raise its rental rates each year. I wouldn’t rent out my apartment without them.

I’d strongly warn people against using this concierge service. There’s no accountability or customer service. You need to rethink that claim of being available 24/7. Treat your customers properly, admit when you’ve made mistakes, and give their money back!
