Le cocon du vieil Annecy, studio zone piétonne

We got lucky and were seated quickly without a reservation, though I’d advise booking. The local veal’s head was amazing, really tender, with pieces of tongue, cheeks, and cartilage. If you like these interesting cuts, it’s a filling and delightful dish. We also had a charcuterie board with potatoes and a miniature raclette, which was just as good. Attentive, kind service made it a great lunch. Merci beaucoup 😁

The service was excellent from the moment I arrived, and I was seated right away at this lovely little place in Annecy. I went for the set with salad, entrée, and dessert. The Caesar salad was spot on, and the steak was decent, though a little chewy. The blueberry pie they recommended was delicious. A good choice if you’re after a nice meal in Annecy.

The place itself was pretty average, nothing especially memorable about the atmosphere. The service was perfect, though, and I really enjoyed the fondue with cèpe mushrooms.

The owner and waitress made us feel very welcome, and the set menus were good value for the area. We liked the salads and steak a lot. The fromage dessert and chicken schnitzel were a little plain, but the rest of the experience was good enough that we’d happily recommend it.
