Glamorgan House

At first, everything seemed good. The rooms were in good condition, my stay went well, and I thought the owner was fair. Then after I left, she was rude and unprofessional over email, threatened to call the police, and rushed to do so before I could sort out the payment evidence. She was impatient and seemed too focused on money. I hope she reflects on how she speaks to people and acts more professionally. I wouldn't stay here.

Dealing with Nadia and the owner was awful. They’re both so rude and quick to threaten people with being blacklisted at yacht agencies and other crew houses. I think they should be blacklisted and shut down instead. The service from this crew house was absolutely appalling.

The main trouble during my three months at Glamorgan came from some of the people staying there, not the house or staff. Drunk kids would come back at 3 in the morning and wake people up. Others left dirty pots and dishes in the sink for me or someone else to clean, and showed little respect for the house or staff. Every new batch seemed to include people who were there to party and waste their money, disturbing those actually trying to find work. If you're in Antibes to party all night, come back sloshed, make noise, and be a nuisance, go to an Airbnb instead of disturbing people looking for work. Be considerate. I’m glad I chose to stay at Glamorgan. It’s in a prime spot in Antibes, with the train station a seven-minute walk away and the beach about ten minutes away. Shops and countless restaurants are close, as is Port Vauban, which is easy to reach for dock walkers and crew. Many crew agencies are nearby too. Caretaker Nadia was open and helpful, and owner Allan kindly helped me when I was struggling. Most bad reviews seem to come from people who couldn't get along with the staff. In my experience, if you show them respect, they return it. My complaints are minor and probably familiar from other hostels or crew houses.

A handy central place for yachties looking for work. Crew agencies, a Carrefour market, banks, pharmacies, and lovely restaurants are all close by.
