A charming place with delicious food and a varied menu, and they’re happy to make adjustments if you ask. There’s a lovely outdoor garden dining area, parking right outside, and the centre of historic Aramon is a five-minute walk away. The clientele is a nice mix, the owners are charming, and the prices are very reasonable. It’s a shame they’re closed at weekends, so make the most of weekday lunches. A spot you really should visit.

Since the new owner took over, bar des platanes has brought a proper village bar feel to Aramon, with lots of outdoor space, which is handy in these times of covid. They cook a lunch plate every Friday for just 10 euros, and it’s good value for money. I’ll stop by again next time I’m in the area.

A very reasonable price for a clean, functional room, amazing food and a great setting. Perfect place to stop while cycling the ViaRhona, and the couple are lovely.
