Djazira, the hotel manager, was so welcoming and charming. The location worked really well for exploring local wines in Arbois, and parking was easy enough: there’s no private parking, but parking around the city is free, and we never walked more than five minutes to get back. Breakfast had enough to get the day started, though eggs or vegetables at the buffet would have made it better. The shared areas were pretty, especially the wood furniture and wall decor. This little hotel was great value and exceeded my expectations. The booking site photos don’t really show it off: the room and bathroom were spacious, modern enough, and impeccably clean. The bed was so comfortable that I think I slept better than I have in months, maybe years. I’d definitely recommend it and stay again.

The restaurant was elegant and beautiful, with a modern feel that never got stuffy, and the service was impeccable. We really enjoyed our meal and want to go back. The snails starter came with loads of juicy, fresh snails, and the pork main was generous and delicious. My first choice in Arbois.

After 7 pm there was no one at the front desk, and the WiFi wasn’t working. Music from the next building was really loud. The room’s private garden was overgrown with weeds and clearly hadn’t been maintained.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, but I ate at the restaurant. Despite its strict style, it had a relaxed feel, and the staff were friendly and very professional. The food and wine were good, with an honest price. If I come back to Arbois, I’ll definitely consider returning.
