Hôtel Le B d’Arcachon by Inwood Hotels

A fantastic, cosy place right on the beach. The staff were kind, easy to talk to and always ready to help. Bruno was especially great, and I'm sorry I didn't note the names of a couple of other people who were particularly kind to us. The main thing to watch for is the basement parking: the layout makes it hard to park easily, especially with a mid-sized car or larger.

The location is excellent, right by the beach, and the rooms are great. Breakfast was good too. Parking was a bit of a hassle because the apps weren't accessible unless your phone was registered in France or a couple of other countries. Still, it's a good spot for a day or two.

The breakfast deserves five stars, and the hotel is really close to the sea. There was construction on the road right outside our window, and one night rain flooded the elevator, which could have spoiled our vacation. The staff were so kind and friendly in lots of ways that we ended up really enjoying our stay.

The shower never drained, so water spilled across the bathroom floor and made it basically unusable. We reported it to reception twice, but nothing was fixed and nobody offered us another arrangement. For what this place costs, guests should be better looked after. On the plus side, the staff were nice, the room was comfortable and had a lovely sea view, and the beach was easy to reach for the day. We weren't told anywhere before arrival that parking had to be reserved, either on the website or during booking. In high season that left us driving around for over an hour trying to find a space.
