Camping Le Soleil

It’s a perfect campsite for location, facilities and service, unless you want things in Catalan. The slogan “Més que un càmping” seems aimed at Catalan tourists. There’s no other writing in Catalan, and even the reception staff don’t understand it. It has nothing Catalan. The arrival process is painful. You can’t check in online, and there’s nowhere for caravans to park while checking in. They sent us into a parking lot for battery cars with a 12-meter car and caravan combination. Getting back out in one piece was a struggle. You can’t charge your car at your pitch. They supposedly have charging points at reception, but one of the two doesn't work. The remaining one is more expensive than a supercharger, and always occupied by either an EV or a petrol car. Electric scooters, bicycles and staff golf carts also speed around all the time. Great campsite and a lovely part of France. Prices are very reasonable, pitches are spacious, and there’s a restaurant, bar, shop and great services. There’s plenty to do nearby, including go-karting, Luna Park amusements, the beach, horse riding, paintball and zip lines. The beachside part of town is seriously lively, with great shops, bars and restaurants. Would visit again.

It’s a remote location, and a huge site aimed more at families than oldies like us. There are several pools, with slides and flumes for adults and kids, and the shower block was very clean. Some pitches were lovely and large, and there’s beach access. It’s next to a camping car park, and people staying there can use the site’s facilities. The motorhome waste point is in that camper car park, and using it is a right faff when lots of people are queuing in such a small space.

The pitches are lovely and spacious, and the pool, facilities and entertainment were fab. We had a great time at this campsite. Mossies were a problem for is here, but obviously that isn't the campsite's fault.
