La roulotte Gitane

Everything was set up for an easy, quiet stay, with only the birds waking us. The rental had all the basics, including salt, pepper, vinegar, oil, dish and cleaning products, and even a small electric hand mixer. There's a shopping center five minutes away by car, and the lovely pool is made for relaxing. The whole Camargue is close by. The owners were welcoming, offered helpful tips for places to visit, and were happy to lend us bikes for trips. The place is a cozy little nest in greenery, less than ten minutes from central Arles by bike. They offered delicious organic rosé from Domaine des Captives in Montfrin, and we couldn't resist buying six bottles. We loved our stay and will be back next fall or spring.

The property is beautiful, with a lovely pool and a terrace that's pleasant in the evening. We were there for a weekend with our children and our 10-year-old dog. We were attacked twice by the owners' dog, and the attacks completely ruined our stay. The owner's response was that the vet was right next door. I would recommend the place, but not if you're bringing a pet. I would have liked to give it five stars.

We spent a week in the studio, and everything was in perfect order. It's a lovely, peaceful place on a farm with chickens, goats, a horse, a few cats, and Fleur the friendly Briard. The host, hostess, son, or daughter will welcome you warmly and are always available to answer questions. There's a useful folder in the studio with local tips, places to eat and visit, and nearby market listings. We especially liked the beautiful pool and the Nespresso machine. Definitely worth staying here if you're in the area.

The owners were so welcoming and helpful, and the garden was beautifully kept. We loved the quiet setting and big pool. Had a wonderful time in the caravan and would happily return.
