L'hotel Particulier Arras

The location initially made us hesitate: the guest house looks plain from outside and sits among homes and businesses. Inside, though, it’s beautiful, with subtle, comfortable decor and rooms that feel boutique by UK standards. It’s a short walk to Arras centre and the Arras Memorial. Breakfast was a very good continental spread. Parking might be tricky at the busiest times, but we had no trouble.

The walled garden was a lovely place to sit in the good weather. Inside, the decor is superb, and the welcome was just as good. The owner was away, but the young man covering for them was friendly and knew the area well. Our spacious room, Archimede, had an incredibly comfortable bed and pillows, so we slept exceptionally well. There was a TV, Nespresso machine and kettle, and the large bathroom had toiletries, big towels and a superb hair dryer. A stylish, quiet boutique hotel right in central Arras. 11/10!

The service was what made these four nights so special. I’d gone 28 hours without sleep when I arrived, and they brought me a delicious bowl of soup and bread. From then on, I was looked after royally. The hotel is beautiful inside and out, as well as very clean and quiet. I couldn’t have picked a better place. I hope I can return to Arras and stay with them again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We visited in September 2016 and had a great time. The owner has put a lot of care into the place, and you can see it. Our room was clean, private parking was available, and breakfast was plentiful and good. The service gave us no reason to complain. This is how a place should be run, and we’ll definitely come back when we’re in the area.
