Résidence "E CIME"

We really enjoyed our three nights here. The owners were lovely and welcoming, and the apartment was modern, with a washing machine and a well-equipped kitchen, including a fridge and coffee maker. We made breakfast and ate it on the balcony, looking out over the mountains of Asco. The king-size bed was very comfortable too. The restaurant serves tasty vegetarian pizza and pasta, and I think its tarte aux pommes was the best I’ve ever had. We’ll miss the place and would come back on our next visit to Asco.

The owners were friendly, and the studio was clean and bright, with a good bed, excellent shower, and a great view outside. It was quiet at night in this remote village, so come prepared: there’s no nearby supermarket. We stayed in studio 4, where guests in studio 5 have to cross the balcony to reach their room. That meant we couldn’t leave the balcony doors open and keep our privacy. The walls are a little thin, so we could hear the neighbours. There are only three restaurants within walking distance. All were closed on the Tuesday evening in September when we stayed at E Cime, and its own tavern is open only on weekends. We ended up without food that evening, so it’s a good idea to bring something you can prepare in the studio.

Marie Jean was very welcoming, and the views were amazing. The place was comfortable.

The ice cream and espresso were delicious. The oven closes at 1400.
