Brit Hotel Essentiel Arverne Clermont Sud

Our room was OK, with a nice TV and shower, and it was fairly quiet. There didn’t seem to be many guests, judging by the parking lot. It’s a cheap hotel with relatively small rooms. Ours was freezing when we arrived, and we had to figure out the air conditioning without a manual.

We stayed in a family room with a double bed and bunk beds, which worked perfectly for us and our two young children. The staff were very kind and helpful, breakfast had a great selection for the price, and the free car park felt very secure. The recently refurbished rooms were all very clean, and the COVID precautions were excellent. We were visiting Vulcania, about 30 minutes away. Highly recommend it, and we’d stay again as a break in our journey.

The room was small, but fair for the price, and above all it was spotless and smelled fresh. The bed was really comfortable and clean, the towels were clean, and the bed and pillows looked freshly made and smelled nice. Not a mark or any calcaire in the shower, and the toilet didn’t smell of pee at all. The receptionist and other staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the woman at breakfast, and they speak English, big check mark! Breakfast was simple but yummy. I think I tasted the best blueberry jam in France, haha. I’m not exaggerating, it was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had at a cheap hotel. They serve cappuccino too. Too bad I didn’t take a photo. I’ll definitely come back.

The receptionist was very nice and gave helpful advice about mountain excursions. The hotel is close to the city and the highway, and it was very clean. Comfortable bed and the sanitary facilities were OK.
