Tiny Bikini, Ault, Baie de Somme, 200 m de la mer

The terrace is tucked among flowers, has a little table and two chairs, and feels very quiet with no direct neighbors on that side. We loved the place for two: simple, cute, cozy, comfortable, and spotless. The only real drawback was the very small bathroom, especially the toilet, which is awkward if you're over 1.75 m tall. The bathroom is otherwise practical, with a nice hot shower that has both a rain shower and a hand shower, plus a heated anti-fog mirror. There are thoughtful extras throughout, like toiletries, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper, and a welcome gift of drinks and snacks. The owner was friendly and quick to respond. The tiny house has two floors, plus a basement bedroom. The ground floor combines the kitchen and bathroom, laid out thoughtfully for two, though it's said to sleep four, which would be a lot. The equipment is sufficient and good quality, including a brand new induction cooktop that worked perfectly for cooking, a dishwasher, and a modern water heater. There's no regular oven, but the microwave is fine. Upstairs, the mezzanine has a living room with a TV and Netflix, handy on rainy evenings. The basement bedroom had a fresh, well-made bed, room for suitcases, and hangers on a rail. Decor felt fresh and pleasant, there were plenty of outlets, Wi-Fi was perfect, and the heating could be controlled by room and worked very efficiently. It's a small place, but very quiet. The neighborhood isn't wealthy, though perfectly decent, and parking was easy and safe. The house is just 200m from the sea and Ault's stunning cliffs. One thing to keep in mind: it isn't suitable for people taller than 1.75m. If you want somewhere simple, well-organized, quiet, and close to the sea and magnificent cliffs, this is a good fit.

We wanted a change of scenery for Christmas Eve and renting this place worked out really well. The accommodation was very nice and just what we needed for a great stay, with the sea right next door. I think we'll return. 👍

It was hard to leave this really cozy, super-clean tiny house so close to the sea. There's not much of a sea view, but that didn't really matter. Definitely a place worth discovering.

There are lovely walks nearby, and the apartment is close to both the shops and the sea. It's small, but has all the amenities you need.
