The manager and the young man working at the hotel both made us feel well looked after. The manager was kind, professional and easy to reach, and the young man was friendly, helpful and always smiling. You can tell the place is run with care. We also loved relaxing in the clean, well-organized pool after time in the mountains. The residence was well maintained, with a welcoming feel, and our apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The location was lovely too. Everything surpassed what we expected, and we'd happily recommend Résidence Les Écrins d'Auris – Vacancéole. We will definitely come back!

We were very comfortable in the generously sized room, which felt modern and fresh compared with what is typical in France. In February 2026, the fondue set we requested at the front desk was brand new and clean. Management also made sure the mostly young, college-student guests didn't shout or make noise at night. The location is ideal for skiing. The lower ski-lift station is 100-150 meters away, and in the afternoon you can ski right back to the accommodation. The grocery store at the bottom of the village is about 100 meters away, and several restaurants are close by. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place!

This isn't a hotel or proper apartments, it's a scam with beds. The room comes with a cleaning job for you: hoover, mop, the full works, and they don't even provide cleaning products. If you're bringing ski gear, apparently you need to find room for those too. Towels aren't changed every few days as basic hygiene would suggest. Want a fresh or extra one? That's €12 each. Lose the key card and it's €100, even though replacing one normally costs nothing at a normal hotel. Calling this place a hotel is wildly misleading. I'd give it minus one star if I could.

The room was dirty when we arrived, apparently because they rely on previous guests to clean it. They provide almost nothing, just one roll of toilet paper for a week, while keeping a price list for everything. Guests are expected to do the cleaning or face huge penalties: up to €200 for not deep-cleaning, €50 for a dirty kitchen, €20 for leaving your own trash, and another €20 if you don't hand-deliver used sheets to reception. I wish I'd checked the 'Inventory and Penalty' list before booking. This place is run more like a strict dormitory than a hotel. Reception shuts in the middle of the day, from 11 AM to 4 PM, and the spa is open only from 4-7 PM. It's so overcrowded it's unusable. The €100 lost-key-card charge feels like an absolute cash grab. You pay a premium to spend your holiday doing chores and worrying about their 'non-exhaustive' penalty list. Never again.
