La Roche du Croue

Marianne, Thomas and Haribo made us feel very welcome, and the studio was a lovely base beside fantastic hiking trails. It’s in beautiful Aussois, and the tasteful decor and full equipment suited our trip with friends or family perfectly. A real gem for a cosy, convenient stay in the Alps.

Check-in and check-out were very easy, and the host was so friendly and helpful. She asked us herself whether we wanted dinner and breakfast, then packed breakfast for us to take away. Everything in the room was available and spotlessly clean; the beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the balcony view was super nice. We had a lovely stay and I’d definitely recommend it. :)

It’s a cosy place with real soul, largely thanks to the hostess’s love for her work. This isn’t a big 4-5 star hotel, but it’s a gem, with a beautiful view and an exquisite hostess. While we were out hiking, she even arranged car rental pickups for us. She also cooked an amazing homemade dinner with vegetables from her own garden. Breakfast brought a wide selection of homemade "confiture", mostly from her garden too. If you appreciate great home cooking with very local, high-quality ingredients, ask if you can eat in at least one night, if you’re lucky enough to get a room here.

We stayed here during our mountain bike tour and enjoyed it a lot. There’s laundry service and a garage for the bikes, plus WiFi. Very nice place and a very friendly host. Thumbs up!
