Aurelia was great about keeping in touch, and Julien made us feel welcome. He showed us around and shared some of the house and town’s history. We stayed at the Manoir for two nights, and the onsen bath and sauna were fantastic. I’d happily recommend it and hope to come back someday.

Such a warm, welcoming atmosphere in this beautifully renovated and furnished hotel. It’s in a charming village, and the hosts couldn’t be lovelier. Julian made us a delicious polpo and charcuterie plate and served a nice Morgon. We highly recommend it!

The manor’s atmosphere and distinctive decor, along with its picturesque medieval village setting and warm hospitality, made this a unique stay. Breakfast isn’t a continental buffet, so that may disappoint if that’s what you expect. What they do serve is really delicious: fruit, jams, fresh croissants and bread, butter, coffee, orange juice, boiled eggs, and fresh ‘cheese’ with honey. That’s what we received in June 2024. It’s a roughly 400-year-old manor without AC, so hot summer nights could be a bit tricky. You may need to sleep with the windows open, and understandably there are no insect screens.

Staying in a castle was enchanting. I loved the tasteful rooms and decor, and Aurelia is a fascinating, welcoming owner. Highly recommended 🌸
