Contact Hôtel de la Gare et son restaurant Côte à Côte

The restaurant at the hotel was good, and Autun is worth exploring. The hotel has been recently renovated, and I was satisfied overall, though the price felt a little high for a provincial hotel of this standard. I’d ask for a room at the back. A tissue box would be a welcome extra.

The spacious, bright rooms and very good breakfast made this great value for money.

Hi, we booked three rooms for work and expected to stay in the hotel near the train station. Instead, they put us in the Hôtel du Commerce right next door. Our room was very cramped and had a musty, moldy smell. The water pipes were noisy and kept cutting out, so we couldn’t sleep properly. The reception staff were unpleasant too. Not a good experience.

The free parking across the road was handy, and breakfast was very good, though the pastries were industrial, which was a shame. We stayed as a family for one night. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the rooms were comfortable, clean, and air conditioned. In the family room, there were three of us, but the bathroom only had a small towel rail under the heated radiator. A larger rail and some hooks for clothes would help, so I took off one star.
