The staff were good, but the food let it down. There wasn't much beyond very basic dishes, and the by-the-glass wine list was tiny with wildly high prices. I'd skip the cheapest one, of course. The dining room feels frozen in the 80s.

Really good restaurant.

We were here for the Chestnut Rally, and the rooms were spacious and clean. The restaurant served good gourmet food, with excellent desserts. The staff were professional, but what stood out most was how warm and friendly everyone was. A really pleasant stay, highly recommended! Yasmina

The homemade meal was generous and tasty all the way from the appetizer through dessert. The owner deserves five stars too, with a warm welcome and plenty of humor. It was clear he enjoys his work and does it well. If you're in Autun, I recommend staying at the Logis de France and eating at La Tête Noire. Thanks again for the welcome and the useful advice.

Dinner was reasonably priced, and the dessert and wine were both good. The regional food was delicious, though be cautious with the poached eggs: half our group got food poisoning. The thick red wine sauce may not suit everyone.
