Breakfast was good, and the Chamber Deluxe Baroque itself was spacious and lovely, with a double balcony and a large modern bathroom. Still, several details were disappointing for a Deluxe room. The sink basin had a big crack, the bathroom mirror batteries were corroded so the light didn't work, and the bedroom-to-bathroom door hinges squealed badly. I rubbed hand cream on all three hinges, which stopped the noise. The WiFi was the biggest frustration. At first I couldn't connect at all, and nobody was at the front desk. After waiting about five minutes, I found a man who came upstairs, couldn't get it working either, and said he'd reboot the system. I could connect after that, but both my Android phone and my wife's Apple phone kept going from a good signal to fair and then disconnecting, even with auto-connect on. We had to use our mobile data. They should say clearly in the advertisement that they have “NO” WiFi. On this trip we'd stayed three and four nights at other chateaus and vineyards, as we did at Melin. At those places we were welcomed with a glass of wine, and one especially distinctive property left a complimentary bottle from its own production in our room. Nothing like that happened at Melin, even though there's a tasting room for their vineyard wines behind the front desk. I'd expected better WiFi from a Deluxe room, and more care with the other small repairs.

We ended our stay with a glass of red wine in the grounds, a lovely way to enjoy this beautiful place. The hosts were lovely, the room was stunning, and we spent two nights here in the heart of Burgundy's wine country. We also tried the wine tasting and thought it was worth it. Breakfast was lovely too, and Beaune has plenty of places to eat. I'd absolutely recommend staying here.

The breakfast was a real highlight, with fresh local products and delicious croissants straight from the oven. There was something different each day, so it made for a lovely start to the morning. Helene was such a friendly, kind hostess. She had everything prepared and gave us a full guide to places to eat and things to visit, which made the stay feel complete. The chateau is charming, and our room was beautiful and cozy. I'd definitely come back and highly recommend it.

We had the owners' wine, which was beautiful and well priced. If you'd like to do a tasting, email well in advance. The owners are the best, and the hosts were great throughout our stay. The rooms are large and beautiful, and the place itself is just lovely. We could have stayed a couple of nights, or treated it as a special one-night stop. We shared the evening with another couple, sitting around with bread, cheese, and wine, and it was such a great thing to do. The breakfast was the best we had on our trip.

A great family, passionate about terroir and wine, and devoted to their heritage and traditions.
