Reception wasn't staffed during our New Year stay. On the 1st, the access codes stopped working, and the internet was down too. I was left waiting outside in the frosty cold until I could get through to the emergency number. The login I was given didn't work, so I couldn't get online. The stay was quite below average.

Room service costs extra per night, so keep that in mind. The hotel was great value, with a bus stop just a couple of minutes away for getting to central Avignon. I appreciated small touches like the cold filtered water by the entrance. The small kitchen was well equipped, with an easy-to-use microwave and a full set of plates and cutlery.

The reception staff were excellent and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable, with a balcony, and there were good train and bus connections from the location.

The room was fine and had a little kitchen, but it got far too hot, even in mid-May. The AC wasn't working, so we had to sleep with the windows open and listen to the traffic. I hate to imagine how uncomfortable it gets in the middle of summer. I'd ask for a room below the top floor.

It was a really unpleasant stay. The place felt run-down, and the toilet quit working after we used it once. The halls smelled damp, like old salad, and there were bugs everywhere, including cockroaches. The hotel was extremely hot too, and the AC barely did anything.
