Ibis Budget Avignon Centre

We stayed one night with a group. Two of my friends and I got room 119, which was clean and had no strange smells or bugs. It had beds, a desk, a window, and some lights, though some of the lights didn’t work and there wasn’t much else in the room. We had to go downstairs to use the kettle. The service was very nice, and we managed to communicate easily in English since I’m Polish and don’t know French. The rooms are cozy and work well for a simple person who doesn’t need much. Some of the AC units in other rooms smelled bad, but ours didn’t. I gave the rooms four stars, not five, because there was too little inside and some lights weren’t working. For location, I’d give three stars: we had to ride 14 bus stops just to get within a 1 km radius of the tourist attractions. It’s a good option for a short stay.

The location was great and the staff were nice, but the rooms were awful. There’s no soundproofing at all. I could hear my neighbor brushing their teeth, it was that bad. Have plenty of local wine before trying to sleep. Not again!

Our family room had plenty of space and was equipped with what we needed. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the hotel is centrally located, close to the train station.

We spent two nights here before setting off on our boat and bike trip. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We walked over from the central station, had pizza and beer at the hotel rather than heading out again, then walked to the central bus stop in the morning. Basic, but it had everything we needed.
