8/10
The tea was fabulous, even though I'm usually more of a coffee person. Breakfast was lovely, started early, and had an interesting taste of France and Provence. The atmosphere was great, with staff around to help, and the service team were very friendly. The rooms were clean, though a bit dark and below my usual standards. The hotel is central to many destinations. We were too busy traveling to swim in the pool.

The breakfast restaurant was well organized, and the rooms were clean and large. It's a very good hotel, near a shopping area and lots of restaurants.

The staff were friendly, and they kindly added an extra side to my kid's menu. We enjoyed the steak and grilled octopus, and the wine by the glass was good too. The room was clean and the pool was great. I rate it five stars because I don't think the current three star average reflects the hotel, and I believe it deserves more. I'd definitely return on another trip south. :)

Since the change from Novatel to Ibis Styles, there were several problems. The toilet cistern kept filling, and the bathroom plug wouldn't pop up because the linkage from the lever was too short. The kids' pop up bed had a mattress whose springs I could feel while lying down. The restaurant was okay. The pool table had no white ball, and its chalk was broken.

I felt extremely uncomfortable when staff entered my room, moved my belongings, and cleaned despite the Do Not Disturb sign I always put up because I prefer not to have the room cleaned during my stay. Reception told me that if they see the sign and get no answer after calling the room, they enter and clean anyway. I find that policy absurd and strongly recommend avoiding the hotel. The franchise manager needs to be held accountable.
