Regina Hotel

Everything depends on a QR code here, from getting above the ground floor to opening your room. The hotel itself is extremely basic, maybe a step up from a hostel. The toilet is in a tiny closet, separate from the sink and shower across the bedroom, which didn't feel sanitary. Thin walls and doors mean you hear a lot. I'd skip it.

Right in the town center, with very reasonable rates if you're not fussy. The rooms are tiny, but fine for sleeping after a day out, and the place was very clean. It's a very basic room in a very old building, though one fellow traveler found it unacceptable. She's kind of a snob, if you ask me.

The room was clean and adequate, and the hotel is in a great location. But the bathroom smelled of mold or mildew as soon as I walked in, and it made me very sick. The hotel was also hotter inside than it was outdoors, where temperatures were in the 80s. I was there at the end of April and was told air conditioning wouldn't be available until May. That policy should change. Please check for mold and fix it before another guest gets sick.

The economy room was clean, and the AC worked well, but it was very basic and tiny. Breakfast was simple but enough. The location is good, with the Papal palace within walking distance. Parking is a five-minute walk away, and the cobblestone streets make heavy wheeled suitcases a bad idea.
