The kids loved the slides, and my granddaughter said the whole place was fabulous. Even on the one or two rainy days, we still went to the pool, which was clean and well maintained. We stayed in the Grand Cottage, which was clean, very spacious, and quiet where we were. The takeaway food was nice, and the shop was stocked every day. We had a great holiday with the kids and our granddaughter. The staff were friendly and helpful, and after three stays here over the years, we still have nothing negative to say. We'd definitely consider coming back 🙂

There was loads for the kids, including playgrounds, bouncy castles, animals, and a games room. We also enjoyed the tasty, reasonably priced restaurant food, though there weren't many cocktails to pick from. The wooded areas and paths were nice for a walk, and the shop had enough stock. Facilities were very clean, and the pool complex and slides were excellent. Service was fair. We came at the end of the season, so the staff seemed tired and ready to close. A good campsite with plenty of facilities.

The slides were a lot of fun, and we did have a nice time, but I can't agree with a five-star rating. The toilets and showers are three-star at best, and the clubhouse and entertainment were poor too. They let groups of young people stay in the fields, and groups of up to 30 teenagers have been walking around and making a lot of noise. I'm writing this at 11pm and they're still loud.

The stay felt relaxing until an unexpected €95 cleaning fee at the end left us disappointed. I forgot to empty the coffee machine and missed a spot under the toilet rim. That was described as a “full-scale intervention,” which felt unfair and excessive for such minor things. I've stayed at similar holiday parks in the Netherlands where guests are expected to tidy up before leaving, and I've never been charged for something like this. We didn't complain during the stay about the caterpillars coming in through the open windows and jumping down from the trees outside. We spent time cleaning them up each day and accepted that a bit of nature came with the experience. The park was well maintained, the facilities were nice, and the staff were friendly, which makes the ending especially frustrating. If you're planning to book, be extremely cautious, since small, easy-to-miss things may lead to a hefty charge.

Our pitch was generously sized, and the campers next to us were pleasant and considerate about noise at night. The site itself was well maintained, the shop and restaurant staff were friendly and polite, and our kids loved the pool and slides. But the pool was overcrowded every time we went, and it was hard to get sunbeds. The pool showers were dark and dated, and didn't work when we tried them once. The lining was peeling at the shallow end, and some grates at the indoor pool entrance were loose. That didn't feel like a five-star campsite. We used our own bathroom, but my husband said the site toilet blocks had no soap dispensers, so I don't know how people washed their hands all summer. We also didn't know a €200 deposit would be taken on arrival for cleaning the bathroom at the end of the stay. That wasn't clear when we booked, and I didn't want to spend the last day of our holiday cleaning after paying a premium for the pitch. They provided only a broom and dustpan and brush, no cleaning products. We did what we could, but I wondered how well it had been cleaned before us. The worst part was the noise from the staff caravans. On August 20, we were kept awake until 4:30am by what we thought was a large group of drunk teenagers partying in caravans behind us. They played music, sang, shouted, and stamped up and down on the decking. A British woman politely asked them to quiet down, so we knew we weren't the only ones awake. They lowered the volume briefly, then turned it back up. In the morning my husband went to speak to them, and we were shocked to find out it was staff. There were empty beer bottles everywhere and two very hungover-looking lifeguards sitting on the decking. My husband told them how disappointed he was that staff had kept us awake. We reported it to Raphael at reception. He didn't seem very interested, just said it wouldn't happen again, he'd speak to them, and would inform the director. I only realized after leaving reception that he hadn't apologized on behalf of the staff. Five days later, we were woken again by loud talking and shouting from the same caravans, while the rest of the site was quiet and dark. Around midnight I heard bottle caps coming off and couldn't face another night of partying, so I got out of bed and went over myself. There was no sign of night security at any point during our stay. I found about 10-12 staff members on the decking, drinking and playing cards, with a very strong smell of cannabis. I was standing there in my pyjamas, having to confront staff about the example they were setting. This wasn't how I wanted to spend my holiday. After I complained, they went inside and kept the noise down. We raised it again with Emilie at reception, and this time she apologized. But management never came to speak to us or formally apologize after our second complaint. The silence felt like very poor service and a complete lack of regard. A sincere apology would have gone a long way, but it felt like they didn't care that staff had ruined our holiday. I felt embarrassed going to the pool and using the facilities afterward because I didn't want to see those same staff again. We stayed on a camping pitch for two weeks in August.
