Once you get through the wall, there's a very luxurious set of villas and a great swimming pool. We enjoyed it on the first day, when the place was quiet, and pool towels were available. The owner is friendly and gives you his number so you can ask questions on WhatsApp. Finding the place can be a little tricky, but Google Maps should get you there. At the entrance, there's a big wall, and the parking is awkward and tight, so take care.

The lobster plate was fantastic, and the juice was amazing too. I picked the hut after seeing it on Instagram, and the view is incredible. It's an experience you have to try, if you can handle the quirks. The hut is literally in a mango tree, so mangoes falling day and night make a lot of noise. The spa area is lovely; the sauna works well but isn't easy to use, and the jacuzzi is fine though not very hot and hard to adjust. You get private pool access at 7 pm, but during the day you can hear people there right outside your window because the hut is open on all sides. Keep all the doors locked, or people might wander into your private area, like the spa. The biggest downside is that the toilet and bathroom are on another floor, past a sort of lounge area, and nobody told us beforehand. Getting up to pee at night was annoying and a bit anxiety-inducing.

My parents were so happy, and I'm grateful for how kind and attentive Rodrigue and his family were during our stay. It was a tropical break that my parents really needed, away from the everyday grind. My parents, my daughter, and I had a wonderful breath of fresh air here. This was our second visit to this exceptional residence, and we enjoyed it twice as much.

We had a great three-night stay at Villa Petit Anse and nothing to complain about. Everything, both the shared spaces and the private ones, was well cared for and tastefully decorated. The outdoor bathroom beneath the mango tree at the villa was a fun extra. The owners were very attentive and helpful. Thanks, Rodrigue and Valérie, for the generous breakfasts and such a lovely stay!
