ACE Hotel Paris Marne la Vallée

The setting around the hotel is lovely, and the staff were friendly. Our room was okay, but with no working AC the air felt thick all the time. Breakfast was really disappointing, too one-sided and unhealthy for us. Disneyland is about a 20-minute bus ride away.

The rooms themselves were fine, but the breakfasts were a complete letdown. We stayed twice, so we could compare. On 31/7, staff began clearing things away early. When I asked one woman why, she said “all people left.” I asked her male colleague where the food had gone and explained what had been available five days earlier, during our first stay. I asked for black tea and was told French people don’t drink it. I also mentioned that there had been raspberry yogurts on display five days before, but felt like I was talking to a wall. I went to reception and asked to speak with the hotel manager. Ms Luana, or a similar spelling, the only staff member with piercings, said the manager wasn’t there. I wanted to make a complaint then and there, but she told me to email instead. Customer service was nonexistent; the staff acted as if we should just eat the leftovers and crumbs. I could understand if we had arrived minutes before closing, but we hadn’t. They were rude and unprofessional, and seemed untrained. If you want to stay hungry and hunt around for food, this hotel is perfect.

We used this hotel for an overnight stop before staying at Disneyland Paris, and we’d stayed here the previous August as well. It’s about a 10-minute drive to Disneyland, with great rooms and a good self-service continental breakfast. Fantastic choice if you’re visiting Disney, and I can highly recommend it.

We arrived at 2:00am and had no hassle at all once we found the button to open the gate. Parking is gated and easy to reach from the motorway. The hotel is clean and simple, with pleasant decor, well-kept facilities, and plenty of electrical outlets.
