The rooms feel very dated, and our bathroom looked straight out of the 70s. There are plenty of cosmetic fixes the place needs, though everything was spotless. The staff were professional, attentive, and helpful, and the restaurant is the real highlight. It seems about right as a two-star place, but with some investment it could be an excellent stay.

The rooms are plain, but the food is amazing. There’s also a great wine list, with plenty of local varieties.

We stopped for dinner after a day walking around and were pleasantly surprised by the food. We weren’t staying at the hotel. The service was great too, and I especially noticed how well the staff seemed to get along with the owner, who was pitching in and helping customers.

A very good choice for an overnight stop. The food was excellent, and the staff and proprietor were lovely. There’s a garage next door, plus a beautiful garden and patio. The place has rooms as well as a restaurant.
